My Scars (Pics). How I'm Gonna Get Rid Of Them.

Next week im going to a dermatologist in london.
Whenever I go on this forum, I keep being brought down by people who say that scars are forever. That they've spent trillions of dollars on treatments with 0 improvement (such as ylem). Well, let me say I don't believe that. I believe that every single treatment you do provides improvement, but its maybe because your expectations are unrealistic, or because the improvements are gradual that you don't see them right away (or because your doctor is an idiot). Ernestoria's success, and the numerous pictures I see in the internet inspire me. Laser treatment tends to provide small improvements, but improvements nonetheless. Non ablative fractional lasers seem to greatly improve the skin texture

The texture of my skin is absolute crap. Everybody here has a great skin texture (even though they might have deeper scars, like ernestoria), except me. I believe that Fraxel re:store can improve on that.
I've always been fascinated with the results Z Rahman has obtained using Fraxel re:store

I was wondering if it was due to the microswelling, but the picture was taken 1 month after the procedure. Since restore is a non ablative procedure, i can assume that the time on which the swelling subsides much earlier, so these results are permanent.
Also, I plan on doing fraxel re:pairs and more agressive ablative procedures, such as co2 laser resurfacing. . Also, many posts from dermatologists on realself have confirmed my suspicion that the fact that im prone to sebaceous hyperplasia doesn't mean im prone to hypertrophic scarring, so I'll probably be able to go through laser treatments because lasers don't worsen hyperplasia.
(post : http://www.realself....erplasia-effect )
Also i plan to do electrocautery on the hyperplasia that i have.
I have the theory that the time it takes you to repair your skin is proportional to the time it took you to destroy it. In my case, 10 years of cystic acne with no roaccutane (boss mode). It will take me long, and it will be expensive, but I'm gonna have a normal looking skin eventually.
I'm going to start working as a software engineer in 1 year in california. Hopefully I will have enough income to finance this.
I'll probably start my acne scar journey in one month, as I'll do whatever the dermatologist tells me , which will be financed by a side job i plan to take, besides university.

Thanks don, i hope you're right and I can get a normal looking skin in a couple of years. Honestly, I don't feel as bad as I did weeks ago, because I've seen a lot of people that have way worse and deeper scars than me.

Next I'm probably going to try Intracell:

http://jhs70.cafe24....%28final%29.pdf
There's some nice improvement to be seen in some of the pics and the downtime should be only 2-4 days. + there's reports of it being effective against large pores and skin oiliness as well. Then again there's not that many user experiences available yet and not all the study pics show that much difference.. But I'll keep you updated on how it goes if I go for it.
I hope you find the moneys for your first treatment soon. I'm sure you'll feel a lot better of your skin already some months after it (I sure feel). Fractional Co2 lasers are all more or less the same or so I've heard so it might be sensible to compare prices in different places to save some money there. Traditional co2 ain't a bad idea either and should certainly give you quicker results but the risks are a bit higher too.

Thanks for the post, AcnePolis. I was wondering if you have a photographic log where you keep track of your improvement, so i can assess the effectivity of your treatments,

Im going to a clinic where fractional CO2 laser and subcision/excision are performed
Im specially interested in CO2 laser because of guys like this http://www.cdc-clini...nated_co2_laser . (see first image). I have zillions of scars like that. Kinda like ice picks.. then some large, long ice picks... THose are the ones that annoy me the most.
I think the dermatologist might actually treat me with fractional ablative CO2 laser. The consultation is still one week away.

those B&A's look fantastic. I never thought lasers could deliver that much improvement.

I think it's either because of the microswelling, because he did many sessions... or because it's photoshopped.
For example, on this picture, i consider this woman had a moderate improvement on icepicks http://towerside.jp/...pixel_img16.jpg . But this one is more believable.
