Hi,

I am new to this website and how the message board works, but I hope someone can help me.

I recently started spironolactone, it's been almost a month (2 days shy) and I wanted to get a refill, but my dermatologist is saying that I must first get another blood test to check my potassium levels. I have no health issues and was told at first that this was just precautionary to taking a medication like this for the first time.

Is there anyone that is taking this medication or has in the past? If so, was there a requirement that every 30 days you get a blood test?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Beautiful! Welcome to Acne.org!!

I'm not much of an expert on spironolactone, so I won't say anything on that.
Can anyone here help her? :)
