Hey everyone!

I just started 40mg of Claravis per day. I'm a 22 y/o female an weigh 150lbs. My doctor did say this is a slight under dose but she's trying to gradually build up my prescription over time.

I was just hoping someone within the same weight and dosage range could share with me what kind of side effects they experienced and when? I'm trying to gauge just how much of an under dosage the 40mg is and how much dryness I should expect to experience this first month--things are tight financially this week and I don't want to run out and spend a fortune on moisturizers, etc until I know I really will need them.

I'm really excited, it feels like this is so long overdue--I've never had a derm before who would prescribe accutane for my mild/moderate PERSISTANT acne. I finally found one who explained that acne isn't supposed to be chronic like this and since mine has been come and go since I was 11, it made me a great candidate for the medication. Hurray!

hello i am a 26 y/o, 5'7 127 female on day 7 of isotretinoin (generic acutane), i have persistant acne as well, it is not like terrible, but ALWAYS there and it is horrible. so far just chapped lips, but not really bad, and i dont know if it is from the medicine, or because i keep licking them to see if they are getting chapped!! day two i broke out with like 7 on my face, but that always happens on my bad days of persistant acne cycles, so i dont know if that is from the meds either or just regular cycles of me. i have had acne since i was 13, and really hoping this works as i am sure you are as well!!! so far no dryness of my skin at all, i dont really notice a difference so far, but i hope that i will see results soon!! i will keep you posted! take care!
