So, I've been on tons of diet. I know it does help, just not sure why. Hardest thing to give up has been drinking, even vodka screws me over. The best results i got from a diet was a VERY strict candida, eggs, chicken, fish, beef and vegitables. I've done ketogenic low carb diets and several others. They all seem to help, but I lose weight too fast on them and they are so restrictive that it is almost impossible to maintain in the long run. I got a calcium deficiency from avoiding dairy for 2 years =(
Dieting for me is like a pendulum. I start to diet and my skin gets better, I start to feel really good, but the bland food starts to make me hate it. I start to cheat and then start thinking, what the hell if this is what it takes to be clear its not worth it. Then the pendulum swings to the other side. I start to break out bad, hate myself, wish I had the skin I just had back(which still wasnt very good) and tell myself Im willing to give up anything to have it.
I'm desperate enough to stick to a diet plan for the long run, I'm starting restricted and am going to SLOWLY add to it after a month or so. Its too long to list what I am avoiding so here is what im eating. Tell me what you think.
4 meals a day
2 pounds or more of vegetables a day(half a pound per meal). Lots of broccoli, cauliflower, spinach and collard greens.
1 piece of fruit per meal(Im giving fruit a chance and seeing what happens) Oranges, bananas, apples, mangos, berries, grapefruit, pineapple etc mixing it up.
I eat a serving of meat each meal(between 4 and 8 ounces). Eggs for breafast and the rest a combo of either chicken, fish, ground turkey, or on special occation beef.
And less ofter I eat a sweet potato, or some olives. Every few days drink a small v8(makes me feel kinda guilty, how sad is that)
That Brings me to around 1500 hundred calories, to supplement the rest for 2 meals I drink a table spoon of olive oil and the other 2 a table spoon of coconut oil, also my primary cooking oils
TONS of water.
For supplements I take calcium/magnesium/D3 pills. Vitamin b5, 40 billion probiotics and a multivatmin each meal.
The multivitamin is a 3 pill per dose so i split it throughout 3 meals.
Im a week an and seeing some improvements. Im open to all comments, let me know what you think thankyou.

^ steak and sweet potato is great. With such a healthy diet, I wouldn't take the added supplements; it adds in more unnecessary variables. The only supplements I would take are a probiotic and omega 3 supplement (fish, cod liver, or krill oil). Other supplements break me out. Some contain hidden vegetable oils (soybean, safflower, etc) and other questionable ingredients.
good luck!
good luck!
