i had a zit, and i popped it - i felt it was the only choice because it was going deep inside my skin, and i wanted to get rid of it before it went even deeper. unfortunately, i'm left with this:

what should i do? i've only put neosporin on it so far. and how long will it take to go away?

I suggest icing to minimize scarring followed by applying neosporin. Once your all done with that, forget about it and have a good nights rest allowing the body to gradually heal the wound.

It will def get less noticable with time. As how long it takes, it can take a week, or something it can take months (I know i know) but it will get less visable as time goes on, and hopefully it's one of those that lose the redness super quick.

I put Neosporine on my dark skars left behind. It heals them up faster and scars less.

Please just relax, everything is going to be fine. It will heal in just a couple of day or weeks at most. In the meantime don't pick, poke, or pull on it. I have had numerous of those and they always heal up.

I'm not sure if Tea Tree Oil will help it, as it is not inflammed anymore. And I had the pimple for about 4 days before I popped it. It started off as a typical pimple with no head, and slowly I could feel it going deep under my skin so I just decided to pop it. I noticed it was very difficult to get puss out of it...I'm not sure why my skin is reacting the way it did though. For the time being, I'm not putting anything on it but neosporin. It looks like a scab now,

picture (there's neosporin on it, that's why its shiny):

any progress?

& Wicketts16, did it scab up for you like this? Did you just let the scab fall of on its own?

The scab peeled off on its own today, I didn't pick at it...but now i'm just left with this:
