Hi guys, I've been on BP now for almost 10 years. The worst was a few years into my acne when i was using acne frees severe formula 10% BP 3 times daily but have always used atleast twice a day. I dont lie when I say I have tried every alternative, Ive been here along time, name it and ive tried it, all i want in the world is to get off it but for some reason its all that works concistantly for the stubborn acne I get. Thing is its not like it cures me, just takes me from 200+ to like 20+ bumps at any given time. And i dont think it is the antibacterial part of it since I've been on antibacterials and without BP i still got the hundreds of bumps and the BP wash does nothing. And no other topical antibacterial has help. And its not the skin peeling since I've tried tons of other including Retin A and AHA etc.

Anyways Im just wondering If anyone else has been on it this long, and what they have experienced. I know my skin is garbage compared to when I first started it, but I cant tell if its a combo of the 10 years of aging and the scarring, and cant help thinking what it would look like if I never used it. Would I still get the 200 or more bumps at a time? Who knows.

My skin is dry, ALWAYS red(but that runs in the family, BP doesnt help. Super oily and I have very large pors.

Also dont tell me i need to stop to be cured. The 3 months I stopped was the lowest part of my life. I break out all over in places I dont use BP so I know its not what is causing it. Im finally fed up and hitting the diet super hard this time, with me luck.

Have you considered accutane? I think it will really help you.

i've been using BP since i was 12 and i'm 25 now. i never experienced any wrinkles or anything. the only time my face has looked irritated from BP is the past 6 months on the regimen because this is the first time i'm putting so much of it on. like you, it is the only thing that keeps it under control. my face is always dry & red too. and it also burns for about an hour after applying. i'm not on a hardcore diet for my skin, but here are some things i avoid... milk, sugar, white bread, fried foods, & chocolate. good luck!

My brother went on accutane, didnt help atall with his condition. I know the benzoil is making my skin oily but if I stop whatever it is holding back comes full force. Also the 6 months of using nothing would kill me, i couldnt live like that. The ammount of scarring almost wouldn't be worth it. Also I know I can clear through diet, I have done almost before but it was so limited and unsustainable that I couldnt do it very long. Its been a long process but im trying to narrow it down.

ok, yeah problem for me is rosacea and seb derm run in my family to, washing with water makes my face blood red so you can imagine rubbing this stuff on. I swear thinking of sun light burns me. Im starting to freak out cause im noticing the spider veins from the rosacea and im only 22 O_O

Anyways Im at that point of desperation where im willing to give up...taste to clear my skin. right now im eating 2 pounds or more of veggies a day, either spinach, collard greens or broccoli coli flower blend. a piece of fruit(chancing it seeing what happens) with each meal. Either chicken or fish, rarely beef. Eggs for breafast. 2 table spoons of both cococnut and olive oil throughout the day with meals. Occasional olives and sweet potatoes. Most unhealthy thing I drink is a small v8 every couple days and I feel guilty for it...how sad is that.
