Hi
I have cystic acne. I spent about 1700 USD on one treatment with the Yag Erbium laser once. I had pitted scarring after using accutane. It was a waste of money and also very painful, it goes down several skin layers. Down time was about 2 weeks. When it was okay to leave the house I was so excited but when I saw the pitted scars were still there and really my skin was not any more smoother even.

I have since learned that I should've gone with the CO2 laser. Just wanted to save someone the dough and all the hassle I went through. I had to go through anesthesia too. I think the dermatologist didn't know what he was doing:-0 It was his new and only laser. A friend of mine told me yesterday that you have to go with a derm who has the most lasers in town. They're probably the most experienced:-) I'm thinking fraxel for next time!

Take care
Ella

Post pictures of your scarring. It indeed helps me out valuing if Yag its worth for me or not.

WHy? Because our scarring might be different than yours. Different lasers are good for different conditions.

Good luck with fraxel.
