Hey everyone, my name is Stacy, I'm 28 years old.. I used to not have bad acne, but now its really bad. Every few months, or sometimes years, I have flare ups with cystic acne, and man is it flaring up now. It's been flaring up for about 5 months now, every week or so I get a new cyst. I've been trying to change my lifestyle. I'm trying to change my diet, trying to cut out a lot of processed foods, and no longer drinking milk. I have also recently quit smoking. Started taking flaxseed supplements twice a day. I'm not sure if its helping or hurting, because I have a gigantic cyst on my chin now, but none other have popped up in a week. (knock on wood) I also have started drinking apple cider vinegar, and using it on my acne.
Anyway, how is everyone dealing with their acne? Especially when it doesn't seem normal when your so past your teen years.. And when its not just regular pimples that come and go. And what do I do to clear it up???? Thanks for listening

hey I'm kinda the same I'm 21 and never had bad acne and now the last 5 months itts been bad went to derm and they have put me on epiduo (topical treatment) and erythromycin(oral treatment), been on this for 4 weeks now and not seeing too much improvement but I've heard it dose take a while to work. But i hear you i thought if i was going to get it it would have been i high school now it just sucks. I am taking apple cider vinegar but in pill form and multi-vitamin and drink in lots of water. Im going to go get a food allergy test done and see if maybe I've become allergic to something. Have you been to see a derm?
