I am a 21 year old female who has suffered with acne for 8 years. In high school my acne spread all over my back, neck, legs and of course face. My acne made my entire face extremely red and bumpy. I tried almost all the products imaginable for acne at the time. (proactive, murad, neutrogena, clean and clear, cetaphil, and many other drugstore brands). I tried getting facials, tanning my face in a tanning booth, tanning my face in the sunlight, drinking 5 bottles of water a day, exercising and every other myth there is in the book. Nothing worked for my acne until I went to a dermatologist when I was 18...he prescribed me Accutane which changed my face forever. During the treatment I felt dizzy sometimes (scary :/) but for almost 4 years after I completed my treatment I was completely clear. I didn't need to wash my face, I didn't need one ounce of makeup. BUT THEN! (I also started a birth control regiment in November of 2009 for severe cramping). This summer (2011) my acne came back, worse than ever. My face is constantly oily, my hair is too. Much more oily than ever. My hair is starting to fall out like crazy and the acne I'm getting now is all around my chin. A bunch of bigger bumps that hurt are forming on my chin now. I don't know what's wrong! I wash my face twice a day with Neutrogena stress control and put on Clean and Clear Dual Action moisturizer afterwards. These products didn't work for me in the past, but my dermatologist said they might work since I took Accutane.
Well now my old dermatologist doesn't take my insurance anymore, so I'm wondering if you all know of any good dermatologists in central/northern New Jersey that take Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Thanks guys!
Howdy Everyone :)
