The best way to avoid the craving for grains or dairy is to consume more protein. You should be getting 1 - 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. The way to do that is to get Whey protein powder. I suggest you buy 100% Whey protein and drink a glass before every meal. You will find that you don't feel like eating cheese or bread any more. You're only deficient in protein.

No offense, but that is completely ridiculous. First off, bread has relatively small amounts of protein, so how would a protein surplus stop your cravings for something with a ton of carbohydrates.

Second, perhaps you haven't considered that some of us just love the taste of cheese. I eat a ton of protein: meats, chicken, pork, whey protein powder etc, and I STILL love and crave cheese.

I am getting annoyed by all the misinformation being tossed around on these boards lately.

The only way that I was able to eat what I wanted and get away with it, was with accutane. I don't recommend taking it, but for me personally, it's the only thing that has allowed me to retain a fairly normal lifestyle.

I love when people like you think you know what you're talking about and talk with authority.

"bread has relatively small amounts of protein, so how would a protein surplus stop your cravings for something with a ton of carbohydrates"

Protein is key to controlling carbohydrate cravings. Why? One of the principle advantages of protein is that it creates a feeling of fullness and satisfaction in the body that makes overeating much less likely. Protein will lower your insulin levels and stabilize your blood sugar, which will help immensely with carb craving. This will also help maintain muscle, which will keep you burning more calories.

I am annoyed by people like YOU who have no idea what they are talking about, and won't even do the research before posting such ignorance. There is a BIG difference between craving cheese and wanting cheese.

"The only way that I was able to eat what I wanted and get away with it, was with accutane"

That is complete idiocy. Accutane is poison. So you're willing to poison your body just so you can eat anything?

You're the kind of ignorant person that has taken Accutane to attempt to "cure" their acne. Anything you say is moot.

P.S. Even though I'm 100% against Accutane even if you have severe acne, the only time I can understand anyone taking it is if they have SUPER SEVERE cystic acne all over their face. To just take Accutane so you can eat whatever, I question that logic.

This is just uncalled for. Many people here would disagree with this statement, and there is no reason to insult them just because you don't agree with their choice.

The problem here is you are misusing the term "craving". Proteins will never stop a craving, which is what you claimed in your original post. You can feel full and still crave something.

I haven't keeled over after ten years of the stuff, so this must be one really weak poison. Posted Image

You are free to judge as you see fit, but at the end of the day nobody is asking for your approval. Therefore I think it's wise to let others choose for themselves. They all had to read and sign the same disclaimers. Posted Image

Calling someone ignorant is not an insult. I consider myself ignorant on many things, and this is just one of the cases where you are indeed ignorant.

Wrong. Protein will stop a craving. Just like it can stop cravings for sugar. Again, you don't know what you're talking about yet you try to speak in a authoritative tone. Plus, when you quote someone, it's a good idea to not cut it up and have it out of its original form.

So because you haven't died, you assume it's a weak poison? I kind of pity that response, LoL. Accutane is a STRONG poison, which is why you have to have monthly blood tests. It's to make sure your liver isn't dieing!

Whoever said I was asking for anyone's approval? I'm just giving my opinion which everyone is entitled to. Freedom of Speech is a wonderful thing buddy. Posted Image

Diet is a terrible way to cure acne. I went on an acne diet and it cured me of acne but cause serious health problems, and i developed an eating disorder (constant fear and stress of everything i eat). But once you go off of a really strict diet, even if you eat something moderately healthy. Your breakouts will be VERY severe, the worse they could ever be. This happened to me AND my brother. Once we got off of a strict diet, the new breakouts were the worstt ever!! My bro got breakouts so bad that they left scars...then he started to eat regular food/aka whatever he wanted...and sticked to it for a long period of time and eventually his acne went away and has never returned. SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THIS CAN HAPPEN.

maybe acne will go away by itself if you eat whatever you want for a long period of time? lol i don't know..
