Hello. i am a 17 year old boy who is about to take the accutane. Before accutane i was using pro active in 8th grade. it worked ok until my freshman year of high school. Things began to get cystic and my face became a red dried up bumpy nightmare. I began to see a dermatologist and he put me on menocycline. it took about a month to work but it cleared up my acne greatly! After months of awesomeness the meds started to wear off and my doc gave me tetracycline wich was alright but soon enough the acne began to get worse. I had my doctor give me doxycycline but it only kept my acne at really bad instead of extreamly bad. so im now back to square one . my options are to either deal with it..... or take the most powerful acne medication on the planet and risk serous permanent side effects. f#*%k you acne im taking the pills!
