Hello everyone!

I've been a follower of the site for a while now, but I've only just created my account.
I myself suffer from back acne, I'm 17 years old and have been suffering with it since I was about 11.
My face has never been bad, I do get the occasional breakout across my chin, but nothing as severe as my back.

I'm currently using the Benzac AC wash - Applying it with a loofah in the shower and waiting a while before rinsing.
I've been on it for a little over two weeks with no real change as of yet.
I must say though, it does make your skin feel absolutely lovely afterwards.

I'm not sure whether I should continue trying this product or switch to something else at the moment.
I don't use a toner or moisturise after patting dry either - Could this help?

I'm about to venture out into the world of Nightclubs, and I really don't want to be feeling so self conscious about my back.

Please reply! :)

Head and shoulders improved my bacne and adding AHA made my back close to perfect.

In the shower i wash my back with head and shoulders(clean and balanced, stressed by others this one works best) and let it sit for atleast a minute before washing off. After my shower i apply acne.orgs AHA, made my skin that bit better and helps fade scars.

Cliffs:
Wash with H+S
Let it sit for a bit
Apply AHA after

I actually wrote more, like 3 paragraphs and a couple of links but lost it so i just retyped the main points.

JDW is right i do not have back acne but i read alot about the head and showers shampoo for acne. altohugh every post i have seen about people using it is the 'classic clean' type which is the normal shampoo it contains a special zinc in it with out the extra additives in the other shampoos that cause irritation.i also heard after about a week it gets rather drying so i would apply moisturizer after if i was you. NEVER use this on your face. like i said i dont have bacne so when i read these post i figure id try it on my face and later i did more research and people said not to use on your face cause it is extremely too over drying for the skin on the face. if that doesnt work i also heard bab johnson head to toe soap works very well for treating bacne as well. good luck! and as for the red marks that you will have when the acne is gone. since youre a girl and summer time is beginning to come up i say screw it and just start tanning to blend in those marks. people usually only see you shirtless at the beach!

Ah I see! I just read another thread on here about using the H&S Classic Clean and I have to say, it has definitely caught my attention.
Could something like Bio Oil be used as a replacement for the AHA?

Thank you so much for your replies, I honestly had never heard of using Anti-Dandruff shampoo as a treatment.
I'll try it for sure! :D

I found that back acne products tend to make little to no difference compared to just a regular soap. You would probably have better results with the following. Change your bed sheets daily... and don't forget to wash your comforter from time to time! If you have oily skin you would be surprised how much those oils are transferred onto bed sheets and bathroom towels in a relatively short period of time. Antibiotics works wonders for acne how ever you can only be on it for a few months. Good luck!

Dandruff shampoo definitely helps. I also use Powderma on my back when I get out of the shower in the morning. It contains zinc, just like in dandruff shampoo. They sent me a free back applicator too which was cool. My back is a lot better. http://www.powderma....Applicator.html
