Hello everyone! My name is Sheena and I'm brand new to this site. Yes of coarse I have horrible acne and have had it for years n years. I want to know...from all of you with experience with the famous "REGIME" here on acne.org
has it truly been a savior for you? I have pretty moderate acne, and Im thinking about trying his products and following it to a "T". What happened to your face in the first 1-2 weeks? Was your acne worse? I have a feeling mine is going to explode and look horrid the first month of this treatment. But..honestly im at wits end, im depressed about my acne and just so sick and tired of hating what i see when i try and put makeup on.
Also any of you girls out there found a awesome gentle foundation to use while using this regime treatment??
Please write me back, would love to hear some of your stories and progress with the regime.
thank you!

Welcome Sheena! From the photo it looks like your skin is flawless but any who... I have tried both the Regime sold here at acne.org as well as the prescription 5% BP with Clidmacydine (sp?) that is a bit stronger. They definitely kill off pimples at a much faster rate then going on natural but by no means is it a miracle drug. If your skin is anything like mine you will still get some breakouts. After using it daily for years I found that applying BP to my whole face doesn't really prevent acne from starting and really just made my skin more sensitive (which is not fun when you must shave your beard daily, a problem I would hope you don't have). So I began using the 5% as a spot treatment.
I never experienced a purging stage where your face just explodes with pimples during the start of your treatment but I did have a few side-effects. For the first 2 weeks or so I recall my skin being a bit more red, irritated and maybe a little peeling. You could probably avoid much of the initial irritation if you started by applying the BP every other day or applying such a small amount watered down perhaps. After a few weeks my skin adapted to the BP some. However I began the BP regime with the prescription 5% and not Dan's formula which is a little weaker. Good luck!
