Ok, I got a huge cyst on my nose. First it started off small, that kept spreading in width and upwards.. it's huge so I've been doing warm water compresses. However, on the top/ upper part of the cyst (the newly spread area, not the core old region) a whitehead formed and I accidently opened it, so I squeezed pretty gently and a whole bunch of pus came out (~volume of a marble).. however, the thing I'm worried about is there was a white thing stuck to the red raw core in the wound, so I squeezed harder and with the tip of my two fingernails, took it out (wasnt a core, just a white thing).

My question is 1) will it scar? and 2) since pus came out and I know for certain it will shrink, the newly spread regions will be the first to shrink away with the core being the last, correct? 3) no white core was supposed to come out there, right? Only if I pop the core area where the pimple started

I put tea tree oil on the wound btw

Tea Tree might be a bit harsh for an open wound because really that is what you have now I would switch to some neosporin or some Manuka Honey which can be found at a local Vitamin Shoppe. As far as the questions about the white core and scarring are hard to judge most peoples skin heals differntly but from here on out I would GENTLY take care of that area so no more Tea Tree Oil go natural if possible I hear good things about the Manuka Honey and wounds.

I had a similar cyst on my nose many years ago - yes, it is a nightmare situation since it is in such a visible location.

I, too, was able to drain the cyst which helped to clear it up faster.

Unfortunately, it left a small depression on the end of my nose. It's only visible with certain lighting.

The warm compresses are your best option as it forces the infection to the surface, helps with inflammation, and makes it easier to drain the wound.

I've had a couple of smaller cysts on my nose (not at the same time) and neither left a scar. The red marks are actually fading a lot faster than on the rest of my face. I don't think I necessarily got a "core" like with some of the other ones, just puss and it still shrunk up. Healed really nicely actually. Things should get much much better for you now. I wouldn't worry.

ouch, I hate those cysts! >.< and they take forever to heal sometimes.
What it seems to work pretty well for me its to do a paste with Turmedic powder, baking soda and milk. I put it on those big cyst and leave it until it dry. you can find those easly on the store. turmedic works wonders girl. try it if you have time.

In my opinion I would just let is scab over and then put Neosporin or something equivalent of that on it and then if you treat the scab right hopefully it own't scar. Naturally no promises but as long as it is empty just treat the scab as if it were on your knee to get rid of it quickly.
