When I apply makeup base my skin face just look SO DRY!!! and when i'm without nothing I look normal, without dryness... but when I apply the makeup base it changes totally Posted Image Have anyone here been through this situation? Any tips please? It's my skin face still adjusting to the BP or what? Posted Image

Hey claubzs,

What kind of moisturizer do you use, and do you use any AHA products on your skin? And what makeup base are you using? And what's your skin type (dry/oily/combination)? There's usually a lot of factors to consider when asking this question.

Chances are that your face looks dry because it's not well exfoliated with an AHA product or another form of chemical exfoliation. If that's not the case, it's usually because it's not well moisturized.

If neither is the case... I'd recommend looking for a different makeup base that suits your skin type.

Use either a makeup primer so the makeup glides on or use a moisturizer under the MU.

Chemical exfoliant is good too. AHA or even baking soda mixed with water or cleanser.

I'm having the exact same issues. Need to wear makeup to cover the red marks. I don't think it's the actual BP persay because today I did an experiment and skipped the bp and my makeup situation was the same. I think it just takes time. I was on Bp before and for some reason I remember it taking awhile for your skin to adjust to it and even out to the point where makeup looks normal etc. I've tried chemical exfoliation and baking soda but nothing works. I've tried mineral powder, cream and liquid and tried applying with fingers, wet sponge, stippling foundation brush, kabuki brush to no avail. I've come to accept it and know this too shall pass!

^You're right. It will take a while for your skin to adjust. Even if you stop using BP for a day, your skin will not adapt just as quickly as you stopped using it. Your skin is dry, so it will take some for it to be normal. Believe me, 2 years ago, I went through this stage. I was freaking out about my makeup looking horrible, and I'm currently going through it again.
