I'm a 21 year old female, and have had acne since a teenager. When I was 18-19, my doc gave me this a cleanser, toner, gel product line. The toner had a very low % of salicylic acid, the gel contained 8% glycolic acid. In addition, I used differin and clindoxyl *(BP). This combination worked for me.

When I ran out of the products, I stopped using them for about a year. Combined with a bad skin care routine, my acne is returning, only on my cheeks. One cheek has TONS of small flesh-coloured bumps, the other has small bumps and some that have formed into larger ones.

My doc put me back on the cleanser and toner and I am on a higher % glycolic acid gel (15%). I've been on these for about 3 weeks, and my skin is purging.

I am wondering, if these products worked for me the first time, are chances are that they will also work the second time?

They can mostly , sometimes your skin becomes "resistant" to products so it takes a little more longer to work..
