would taking solodyn every couple of day while on tretinoin prevent a relapse from the antibiotic. the reason i ask is because i want to have the antibiotic to help keep my IB from the retinoid minimal but i also dont want the relapse to occure after i get off the biotic,,so i was thinking if i just take it while my face is looking bad than when its clearing stop taking it for a few days and than when i see it getting bad again take it again for a few days and so on..untill the retinoid fully completes its job..would this possibly be helpful in keeping my IB low and also help in preventing the antibiotic relapse that always occurs?

If you're taking an antibiotic (in this case, minocycline) regularly for the first month in conjunction with a retinoid, you're a lot less likely to experience an initial breakout. There also won't be (if you use the antibiotic properly) any "relapse" as, by that time, the tretinoin will have had time to at least prevent the production of additional breakouts.

Stick through the three month supply, it is always important to finish your round of an antibiotic even if your acne subsides. Also it usually takes 2-3 months to get the full benefit of the antibiotic.

Like asburypark101 said, finish your prescribed course. 3 months is plenty of time for the IB to be stymied.
