I've been putting epuido on my back and face for a while now. What is the optimal amount to use, or, to put that another way, how thickly should I spread it?

From what I understand, it is a very thin layer. The more you put on, doesn't make it work any faster. I'd do just a thin layer, personally....less irritation.

It'll burn the hell out of your skin and cause alot of irritationg and dryness.....the more dry you are = more breakouts.

I use benzaclin gel, and I only put a thin layer and it works fine. I know most people on this site on the regimine put like handfuls of BP on....but they always get red/raw/burned.

Like Ivy said, less is more when it comes to prescription topicals. Though this information is usually available in the associated packaging that comes with these products, a thin layer (for your back, an amount equal to the tip of your finger) is all that's needed.

So, how thin is thin? As thin as possible?

If you can see it on your skin, you've applied too much. There should be just enough so that you're covering the affected surface entirely with no residue (or as little as the product formulation allows). Don't stress too much about it, though; practice makes perfect, and a little extra or less here and there won't be the end of the world.

A pea sized amount! :) It should cover your whole face. It's easier to look at how much to squeeze out rather than the thin-ness of the layer.

So literally a pea sized amount? And I should cover my whole skin, not just the acne areas? (sorry I lost the instructions that came with it.)
