I just lost my damn mind. Couldn't deal with the flakes. I just had to get rid of them. NOW. So I just scrubbed the beejesus out of my face. I'm going to be paying for that. WHAT WAS I THINKING!? Part of me wants to cry. Another part of me says "don't move your face!" and another part of me says "you have to move your face because you have to have dinner with your man because he's been slaving away in the kitchen while you've been feeling sorry for yourself, you asshole".

Identify what makes you dry, then stop it.

I'm guessing it's the globs of bp.

most definitely, that and any soaps. soaps/topicals dry out the skin, stop using them all and just rinse with water in the shower, simple, clean, elegant, no dryness no flakes.

I did that for a looooooong time. It saved me a lot of time and a lot of money. And you're right. No dryness or flakes... just acne.

so there is more pieces to the pie, there was with me as well. stress levels are a big factor as well. believe it or not my other major issue was orgasm, whether that be sex or masturbation. once i cut both of those back to once every two weeks to a month, my skin cleared up 100% and ive remained this way for the last 2 years, strange i know. im not sure what the actually science is behind it, and many people discredit this as a problem. all i know is that it messed with my hormones and stress levels, and in my opinion, the sex organs effect all other organs, because it is centrally located in the body.

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas Day in the end, Lola. Posted Image

Don't be too hard on yourself, we all slip from time to time and have those moments when we can't seem to stop ourselves. It's frustrating when you know that thing won't turn out better but go ahead and pick or mess with your skin anyway, but it happens and it will pass so give yourself a break.

Practically, it may be worth cutting back on the amount of BP you use or the number of applications, maybe to once a day or to every other night, depending on your current regimen. Always a good idea to reduce things a bit and let your skin calm down if the dryness and so on is because as much of a problem as the acne itself.

Oh there's no way I'm doing that. Sure, I want clear, perfect skin. But not that badly.

Thanks Paul.

The funny thing is, within an hour of posting that last night, my skin felt fantastic! Bright as a cherry tomato, but soft and smooth. Those scrubs, I'm telling you, are like crack! But I know they're bad so I threw it out. I'm feeling a little better because I did that. I am cutting back on bp and exploring other ways to treat my skin. It's been a lot of trial and error.

Yeah, I guess it's always down to trial and error. Sometimes we have to go through several regimens or slight alterations before we find what works. It's taken me thirteen years to find what I think works best for me, but even that is hit and miss sometimes. We just have to keep on keepin' on. :)
