Lately, I've been getting breakouts on the border of my lip.

On Wednesday night I could feel one coming up.

By Friday it had grown quite large, and it's still there today (Sunday).

I've had this before but usually they come to a head in a day or two. There's no sign of this one coming to a head... it feels like those deep, hard pimples I get that last a month or more =(

Would a cortisone shot still help, even though the pimple's been there for a few days? And would it really hurt because it's in such a sensitive area?

Are you sure these aren't cold soars (herpes breakouts)? If this is the case, a cortisone shot will only aggravate the situation.

Consider changing your toothpaste to Tom's and Carmex as your lip balm.

Yeah it may be your lip balm.

Spreading to the borders of your lips and clogging the pores.

If it is the lip balm, rub some cetaphil lotion on your lips. Works just as good.

Thanks everyone. It's definitely not a cold sore.

I've been using the same toothpaste and lip balm for years and never had this problem, which is weird. I think I may have gotten some makeup near my lips though or something.
