I have mild-moderate acne and blemishes. Not that bad, but I feel bad about it and I'm the only one who has. So I went to see a homeopath and she said something similar about me. She prescribed me some products by Panaxea.

They worked pretty well.

I don't know... I'm not to into this yin and yang stuff; however, I do believe that the best way to treat acne is through natural remedies, such as eating certain vegetables and herbs, and changing your diet. I have tried all sorts of creams and medications, and the best option for me seems to be eating healthy. Plus, I absolutely hate having red, dry, irritated skin.

Yes, because I hadn't thought of trying to eat healthy... (how dumb do you think I am)

No need to get so snappy. It was just a suggestion. Posted Image

Hello

I went to see a Chinese Dr about my health in the summer and I've was diagnosed with having an accumulation of damp in the body

In Chinese Medicine they believe the body's health depends on the balance of yin and yang in the body

Yin is cooling to the body

Yang is warming to the body

When either of these go out of balance, either an accumulation of heat or cold begin to build up in the body causing health problems, one of them being acne.

I have had all my Western Medicine blood tests done and come back normal and sent home

If this has happened to you, Chinese Medicine has an alternative outlook on health and medicine that might be of use to you

If you are a person that runs hot all the time, then you could be suffering from a yin deficiency

Or if you are like me, cold all the time, you could be suffering from a yang deficiency

I've tried changing my diet and taking warming herbs, but my body did not respond

I've recently tried applying heat externally (topically) to the affected areas and now my body is responding

The lungs are directly linked to the health of the skin in chinese medicine and I think everyone would benefit from reading this http://www.itmonline...organs/lung.htm

Thanks for reading

"If the lung is diseased, there will be frequent coughing, symptoms of upward qi movement, a puffy face, an excessive desire to lay down, blemishes in the face, a yellow-white face color, a cold nose, a headache, pain and distention in chest and back, restless extremities, itching of the skin, obstruction in the throat, dreams of beautiful ladies clad in silken fabrics and fancy jewelry-oneself wearing scaled armor-or of speckled banners and lofty heroes."
