I am thinking of a treatment of 10mg/every two days because last time I took it (2006) my eyes got totally dry for even a long period after I stopped the treatment, not to mention the skin(but the eye effect is more substantial because I wear contacts)Now,also my palms are awfully dry because of the winter so also the skin dryness would be dreadful if it was to increase...
So,are the side-effects dosage-related?

I've been taking 10mg every day for the last 5 weeks and only had minimal eye dryness for the first couple of weeks and my face is dry if I don't moisturise but nothing major. No other dryness anywhere else. Hope this helps.

generally the lower the dose the lower the side effects

Isotretinoin's side effects are correlated directly with its dosage. Multiple studies (http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/16546586, http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/21198520) have asserted its efficacy and tolerance when used in low doses, especially in mild-moderate acne. Lower dosage means less dryness.

but what with this minimal dryness afterwards?did it last longer that a few weeks?I would have to be in this low dose for a long period of time..like a yearI cant afford having dry eyes because I wear contact lenses and I cant wear glasses(some activities just dont let me do this)
