Hey I just started the Tretinoin 2 days ago, so I don't have too much to offer. From the blogs I read however it;s best to be patient and I tell myself that as well. Don't be scared to go to the derm, if anything be excited :) they will help you achieve what you want.

I'm a bit of a hypocrite because I was afraid the derm will comment on my acne and scarring and further upset me, but to be honest - he took one quick look at me and just gave me the meds without over-commenting on my skin. You'll be fine and I wish you the best of luck!
Morning:
  • Wash my face with Cetaphil Cleanser
  • Wait 20-30 minutes then put on Retisol-A (Tretinoin) 0.025% [this cream has a built-in SPF and moisturizer
Night:
  • Wash face with Cetaphil Cleanser
  • Wait 20 minutes, put Cindoxyl Gel.

If my face is super dry I use Cetaphil Moisturizer before each medicated cream!

Breaking out right at the start is nothing to worry about. It's pretty much expected.

Yeah unfortunetly they reckon sometime people can break out up to 3 months or more. I've seen people say ti took a good 6 months before they started to clear/were clear. I know its hard to stick with but at least Retin-A is having positive anti[aging benefits for your skin haha

I went to my derm and they switched me to epiduo I couldn't handle how shiny and oily my face was its a bit better now with the oil but still oily. Retin a did wonders for my skin as a teen but not so much now. My other derm said she never seen anyone have an IB as bad as I did :( so I don't know if I should of gave it more time or what. Epiduo is breaking me out but no as bad bc I have been on antibiotics for almost 2 months and acanya helps out. it has dried out most of the pimples I had from retin a like in no more than week. its up to give some time :) good luck any questions I am more than welcome to answer.
