I did a patch test on my chin and forehead. I only experienced a tickling sensation on my forehead and it didn't go red despite leaving it on for 2 minutes or so. My chin started stinging and went pink within a minute. I neutralised with a baking soda/water solution (I didn't expect the fizzing sound!) Waiting til tomorrow...

My chin and forehead are the same as yesterday, I did the forehead again and got some light pink spots but left the chin because it reacted more yesterday. A full face this time, the cheeks stung a bit more (didn't hurt) and are now pink after leaving the GA on for about a minute. I finished by applying a pea-sized amount of the aloe vera sample I bought. Excited to wake up tomorrow lol.

3rd January 2012

Did another peel 9 days after the last. Same procedure as before except I left it on the whole face for 5 minutes. The first two peels had no noticeable effects. Cheeks turned red quicker and are still stinging a bit even after taking it off. Will update...

10th January 2012

Left it on for 10 minutes. Nothing noticeable happened after the last. Again.

Seeing as I've had virtually nothing in terms of results I figured my skin can handle a 10 minute peel every 5 days. I'll see how it reacts over the next week.

It's been 5 days and nothing... Why is a minute 50% glycolic doing nothing for a newbie? I didn't expect shedding but I expected at least redness...

I've done 6 so far... NOTHING, not even 10% improvement in anything... Wtf?!?!? I'm a newbie to peels and 50% Glycolic did nothing so far?

Hmm, thanks for the updates. I've been thinking about glycolic acid peels and this makes me re-think that.

Some treatments just don't work for some people. This goes for any treatment, really.
