Okay. I have a long sad history of trying to battle the marks that i got during the time i was breaking out A LOT. the thing is, i've been to forums, i researched a lot, and that only made matters worse. all the acids i ever used made my marks much worse. HQ cream... same thing. vitamic c serum... made me break out with cystic acne for 2 months. i kept waiting for that to end, but it never did, and so it left me with horrible scarring all over. so now i got my pimples under control, but i still have scars from months ago, and they haven't even faded all that much, they're still pretty dark. all i use now is soap and some scrubs, and clay masks. cleansers don't work as well for me. none of those i tried anyway. and i tried a whole lot. so i guess my question is, is there any other option for me rather than just doing laser or something?

to be honest with you i haven't had any luck with any products to help my red marks. the only thing that has worked for me are ipl's which are not laser and chemical peels. so you should go to a derm or a medical spa and check into those things. i have heard microdermabrasian works too.
also beware you dont want to use too many scrubs and things like that on your red marks because they will just make them worse. i just started using glytone products for rosacea (i dont have it but the doctor suggested i try this stuff because its gentle) called redness relief and my red marks look so much better only after a few days. i use the cleanser with my clarisonic mia and it works really well.

thanks. i wanted to do ipl for my broken capillaries as well, but ive heard way too many horror stories about it. not that many people recommend ipl because of all the scary cases when it went wrong. so that kind of discourages me. i think an eczema cream has helped me before, but i don't like how sticky it makes my face

not sure where you read horror stories of IPL but its very very safe and its not a laser so that is really your best bet. i have had it done at 2 different medical spa's with no issues. just make sure you go to reputable place and do your research. also you can go in and just try a spot treatment on one area so you know if you like it or not. i have been doing them for over 5 years now. also one more thing when you get IPL done your red marks will be slightly redder afterwards but in a few hours your skin will be back to normal and you will see full results in a few weeks. i get it done during my lunch hour and go right back to work so you can tell how non invasive it is thats for sure.
