I have had this cyst on my cheek for the longest time!!!Well, its not still a cyst..but hear me out. In October I had a GINORMOUS cyst on my cheek for 5 days. Then of course, the cyst subdued and wasn't raised anymore. Well, while I had the cyst, I picked the crap out of it. Unfortunetly, I was left with a really obvious dark spot where the cyst was and a bump when I touch the spot. It is December and the spot where I picked the pimple has barely become less noticeable and the bump is still there!!! I am on Amoxicillin, use Duac every morning and night, and then retin-a micro on my face (because I am scared of using it anywhere else due to IB). I also exfoliate every other night. What should I do to get this ugly problem away???? Thanks!!!

Those dark spots are from cystic acne on my right cheekbone. (they didn't all appear at once, it was about 1-2 every month around my period for 8 months).

The first picture is probably exaggerating how dark they truly were....they weren't THAT dark, but the contrast on my phone was set to darker so they'd be very visible in the picture, but anyways....they have faded alot over time. I'v had the cyst problem since about January - July, and went on antibiotics around june....haven't had a cyst since the antibiotics (i'v had little clogged pores pop up that have potential to turn into cysts, but I squeeze them and make them go away before they get inflammed).

You dark spot WILL fade, but slowly. I personally haven't really done much to fade them lately. I do a honey mask every so often in the bathtub, and thats about it. I'm more concerned with stopping my acne than getting rid of the marks right now.

The bump you have left will take time to go away....mine eventually would sink into my skin and be a hard lump under the skin. Then they eventually would just go away.

Is the bump actually a pimple or a scar? I have bump scar from from a cyst a looooong time ago, that got badly irriated when a dentist pressed down on my face. And it left like a small lump of scar tissue, not really noticable, but its there.

It was a cyst and now is a bump but its just under the skin, the skin isn't raised superficially but it can be felt. The scar is from my relentless picking at it. However, the bump has not subsided in nearly 2 months, which is strange. Cysts just need to go away
