I think face mapping is a good starting point for figuring stuff about yourself out, like astrology. Ultimately, however, it's going to be the individual's journey to find out what makes them tick. Most of my PIH is on my right cheek and I know how important avoiding sugar and getting exercise are but it's not because a diagram told me so.

so you think because im drinking water so much it might actually be causing my acne? hmm.. interesting.. i do eat fruits and veggies as well though i started that along with the whole water thing a little over a month ago also i get whatcha saying about the toxins being released into the bloodstream but dont you think after a month of that happening my skin would be getting better by now if that were the case? i actually think its gotten worse the past few days instead of during that entire month. thanks for the reply btw because im getting quite aggravated with the acne!

It took me two months of living what my signature describes to notice any kind of improvement, it's kind of like chunkylard's signature says. I thought I was still breaking out but really it was mostly (and still is) hyperpigmentation.

i have it on both cheeks, so lungs? i have asthma, does that have anything to do with it? O.O

Asthma does not relate to acne. But you see the pathways of the face are connected to the rest of your body, so what is asthma in fact. Asthma= inflammatory disease of the lungs. It means that the function of your lungs is impaired..

here's some more reading on the two cheeks

Right Cheek is connected to lung and large intestine meridian. The Lung/Large intestine major functions. The lung meridian also associate to skin as it governs the skin, pores and respiratory system, if skin allergy and heavy metal toxicity is present, or oxygen content is poor, constipated problem, upper respiratory ailments and lungs sickness and problems with sweating can be related to Metal imbalance, When metal meridian is weak will show the sign of blemishes, eczema, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, acne or rashes around the right cheek area. This concerns the control of vital energy and the receiving and discharging of the body’s waste.

Most of the skin problems is related to lung and liver meridians, skin problems appears on Left cheek with dark brown color, it indicates “liver energy stagnate” and is because of the Gall Bladder and liver meridian that includes the nervous system. Too much of worries cause energy deficiency, which may due to emotional, anger, depression and stress, feeling angry and irritating is the sign of imbalance of liver/gall bladder meridian e.g too much of energy in this meridian cause anger, lacing of energy will cause depression. It disturbs our emotional issue. This area also involve with congestion of too much toxins in the liver.

no no no, you misinterpreted what I said.

When you're doing a liver detox as you're doing right now with the water and fresh fruit juices and vegetables, the toxins in your liver from the smoking and drinking and other bad habits, are being released from your liver. Like a purging of your internal organs, and when they're released from the liver, where do they go? Into the bloodstream, you're in the process of detoxifying your body which is why your skin is showing these signs.

Personally for me right now, my hormones are majorly screwed up and I've switching between birth control pills, so my chin, my jawline and all the hormonal areas of the face are erupting in acne..

lol you're not being punished for stopping. It's called a readjustment period. Why do you think so many acne medications have "initial breakout periods". It's a phase, the body has to readjust.

true true! thanks alot for your knowledge! haha heres my next theory; so many people say that cleansers and chemicals can be to irritationg for the skin right.. so now that you mention this to me heres my next question, do you think that if i keep up with my detox and maybe stop cleaning my face so much to stop the irritation that my acne would get better faster?

no, certain chemicals and cleansers are actually irritating to the skin, because of the harsh chemicals they have in them, which is why you need to opt for a gentle cleanser or a cleanser that doesn't have any known irritants in it, and use strong acnefighting topicals on your face to fight the acne / prevent new acne from forming.

hmm ok ill stick with what i use for now, which is just 'clean & clear sensitive skin soap' i dont really use anything else except braggs ACV at night so i dont think im really using anything harsh right now i dont really want to go to the derm because my brother went there when he had acne and he said nothing they gave him worked, his acne eventually faded with time and just normal face soap.

I have never heard of someone getting acne on only one cheek.

I only get acne on my left cheek! My right side is clear! It happens, and maybe it's my liver? Could be true cause when I do liver cleanses this cheek tends to clear up. Conincidence? Not sure....

I my left cheek rarely if ever breakouts. But my right cheek likes to fight with me (I sleep on my right side, I have to be on the phone a lot for work and it's always on the right side of my face). And my chin hates me too, I think it's cycle related.

I'm really interested in this. I just wonder, if my whole face is broken out, does that mean my whole body is toxic? I am so strict with everything.. I just want to be healed.
Right now my worst breakouts are on my temples.. very painful. The worst part is the scarring though. The scarring on my cheeks just never seem to heal!!

our body as a whole and whats going on with it can reflect on our skin but im doubting specific areas without documented research. who labeled right check this or left check that... because of you doing X or whatever.

no dont believe it srry.

reasons: what ive done and what i had.

for one my chin acne is not from my sex organs as i dont have ovaries because im male and i do not have hormonal problems that relate towards acne.

food: i've only increased the intake of good foods, fruits, and stayed away from dairy since july of 011. My skin has an exfoliation problem which causes me to develop cysts and nodules. Using SA 2% and retin a helps that. Vitamins and stuff help rid the body of free radicals, reduce inflammation, and aid in repair of my damaged skin.

back to the point, i doubt my specific organs had specific affect to specific areas on my face (alot of specifics there lol)

Just because you don't have ovaries doesn't mean you don't have sex organs...or hormones...

my sex organs work well and there isnt any hormonal problems either which throws this hypothesis out the window. Again im doubting that specific body parts i.e organs have "spots" or areas on your face. The health of them instead determing that area. Rubbish.

Organs health as a whole along with the rest of the organ systems yes do play a roll in skin health.

Nah, face mapping is bullshit.

I'm not accusing you of anything here, I'm just saying you should rule hormones out as playing a role in your acne. If you're already taking steps to control 'em through lifestyle/diet, then that's awesome.

does anyone have some good tips for acne on the left cheek? i mean i have it all over my face but my forehead/left cheek and around my mouth/chin are the crazy areas. its frustrating because on the outter sides of my face/cheeks its so clear its incredible. so smooth and scar free and amazing but as soon as you get closer into the centre of my face its crazy. lately ive noticed my right cheek is much clearer maybe only like 3 pimples whilst my left check has like 9 and lots of small ones :/ they are soooooo stubborn im really lost what to do about them, half arent even really inflamed just like..bumps much like my forehead. argh this is so frustrating
