Day 2:
--2/2/2012--
Morning:
Looking a little better; chin is definitely clearing up. Maybe one new pimple on chin which is pretty large
Noon:
Looking alright, worse than the morning, definitely alot redder. But then again, I was looking my bathroom mirror in the morning. Decided to eat an apple.
Night:
Looking worse... Went to the gym and carried on with the usual nighttime routine

Day 3:
--2/3/2012--
Morning:
Looking alot better, cheeks and chin are less red. New pimple on each cheek that are already coming to head. Carried on with normal morning routine and took my vitamin pills.
Noon:
Looking a little greasy/oily and worse overall. Ate a couple of banana's and cooked some scrambled eggs.
Night:
Looking better than noontime. Went jogging and ate some fish afterwards.
Popped three pimples which had come to head...

In situations involving cysts or nodule-type things, it can take longer to heal, but that's to be expected.
A lot of people react to this topic by suggesting that there MUST be some underlying cause - perhaps diet. What do you guys think? After experimenting with this, have you been able to conclude anything regarding diet, or any other factors?
I took Saw Palmetto & Fish Oil & Zinc for a little while, but came to the conclusion that I still had to moderate ejaculation in order to control acne. I hardly eat any sugar, bread is kept to a minimum, I eat a little bit of red meat occasionally, fish whenever possible but not that often, lots of vegetables, decent amount of fruit but not too much. I generally eat maintenance level calories and am a fairly low weight for my height (athletic, but thin). It's hard to improve on this type of diet in the world we live in right now, but maybe some of you have drawn some useful conclusions??

Morning:
Face is looking about 5X better, my chin cleared up as expected (I don't really have problems with chin acne) and I see no new pimples on my cheek but a few have come to head. Carried on with morning routine and took my vitamins
Noon:
Looking better; chin acne seems to have disappeared. Had some sphagetti, ate a peanut butter-honey sandwich, and ate an apple. Later, I went jogging.
Night:
Looking the same as noon-time. Went to the gym. Carried on with usual nighttime routine.

I still have a couple of pimples, but they are much smaller than they used to be, and I actually just shaved last night, so one or two might be from shaving, and those will fade soon. I still have red marks, but I think they have decreased over this period.
It is difficult to not think about sex, and I have had several dreams about sex. I'm not sure that I will be able to keep this up forever, but I am afraid of masturbating because I don't know what the affects will be at this point, and I wonder if I should attempt to regulate my masturbation to perhaps once a month.

Morning:
Since I popped about three pimples yesterday, there are a few red spots on my face. However, no new pimples and no old have come to head. Carried on with usual morning routine.
Noon:
Not bad... Ate a banana and pasta.
Night:
Looking greasey and a few pimples on chin are coming up. Probably because I pigged out for the super bowl

And if you're really committed to the premise or the argument that it's related to hormonal fluctuations, then you better be sure that you don't exercise, either.

I will stand by my belief that it affects the growth of the acne. But, meh, most of us (at least I am) are desperate and trying anything that seems remotely reasonable to get rid of acne or at least control it.
Agree to disagree, I say.
Day 6:
--2/6/2012--
Morning:
Unfortunately, looking a little redder. The upside is that I don't see any major new pimples. Took my vitamins and carried on with morning routine.
Noon:
Looking better than the morning, still a little red, though. Ate some greasey buffalo wings and fries...
Night:
Even though my face is a little redder, the overall texture of it is a lot better. Ate some strawberries

Morning:
Had a really close call last night-- I started to do the deed and then stopped myself right away. From here on out, it becomes a measure of human will. I may be mistaken, but there is a layer of whole new small bumps emerging on my cheeks. Besides that, nothing new. I picked at a bump on my chin, though. A little red but that's all. Carried on with morning routine.
Noon:
Looking a little redder, ate an apple, and some carrot sticks.
Night:
Looking redder than the afternoon and the layer of small bumps on my cheek is slowly getting larger. Popped one annoying pimple and went to the gym. After that, washed with nighttime routine
NOTE:
For the second week (staring with day 8), I will cease all use of cleansing with my usual routines. Mainly experiementing to see if I can get the redness of my skin to go away and also because I feel my skin is a little irritated at the moment.

There is plenty of proof. I am not going to waste my time anymore showing these bone heads a thing or two about DHT. Go google DHT, learn about what it does that causes baldness. Then google acne and steriods. Exercising increases T but does not spike DHT, like ejaculation does, it doesn't matter if it is sex or masturbation. Also, everyone produces different amounts of DHT during ejaculation. Some people can masturbate all day long and never break out because the amount of DHT is minimal, where others, including myself, ejaculate once and the body spikes DHT to high levels, that directly enlarges the sebum glands, and overproduces oil, which causes acne and baldness. Go read for a change and stop trying to put people down, knuckle head.

You are definitely on to something Bobbi.
I have read about bald men who stopped masturbating, and grew their hair back after 3-6 months.
Too much DHT= Bald.
Too much DHT= Acne.
Too much DHT= Enlarged Prostate.
You guys need to try it before you dismiss it.

I read about a man who took a DHT blocker for his hairloss.
It grew his hair back, and also cured his acne and seborrheic dermatitis. No DHT, no acne on his scalp and face.
Unfortunately, he was one of the unlucky ones who reacted badly to the drug, so it screwed up his hormones, and pretty much made him a woman, so I wont recommend it to anyone, but that's not the point.
The point is, that when he decreased his DHT production, his hair grew back, and he cured his acne and seborrheic dermatitis.

We can try to draw as many conclusions about testorone levels and hormones as we want, but the simple fact is none of these experiments are controlled or precise. It MAY be that a certain activity, any activity has an impact on the severity of your acne, but without lab tests and strict scientific method, we cannot say WHY this is.
That's not to say that abstaining for masturbating cannot, in a PRACTICAL sense, help your skin. But it would be a mistake to argue over the underlying cause. IMHO regular masturbation is a significant enough aspect of one's lifestyle that it MAY impact hormone levels, but it may also impact stress levels, maybe it's affecting your diet, your psychology, your energy levels?? It could be the masturbation itself, or it could be a domino effect. Who really knows?
