These two comments are the exact fucking reason I've had acne the past two years.
Neither of you are doctors, nor are the people who wrote whatever you read to think what you do.
lol good one
We don't need to read anything to see common sense. It's a slippery slope. And 2 years? Really? Try 12 years of hormonal imbalance.
But by all means, please, don't masturbate for the next year and let us know how it turns out.
I'm sorry you've had acne for so long. That definitely sucks. You can't just apply your personal experiences to everyone else though. You may know for a fact that masturbating has no affect on your acne, but it's possible there are many causes of acne. What I know is that nothing I've tried has worked for me except not masturbating and that had it not been for people saying there's definitely not a link, I might have gotten rid of my acne sooner.
You're also unintentionally hurting yourself by preaching misinformation. Someone whose in my shoes and reads a comment like yours might then go try other acne remedies. He might try something that would work for your acne, see it doesn't work, and then give all sorts of nasty reviews and do everything in his power to make sure no one else tries it. As I see it, this is the main problem with this site; that it mushes all sorts of people together. 40 year old women with hormonal acne and 16 year olds with acne from masturbation are reading the same threads, trying the same treatments, and getting completely different results.

Believe it or not you are correct. Masturbation was a problem I had as well, nothing excessive, however, it did cause most of my acne, other things that did was different types of stress and a food allergen. But orgasm (during sex or masturbation) seemed to have doomed me for a long time as well, so I agree, the chemicals released during orgasm do can in fact cause acne. It is easy to quit masturbation once you stop watching porn, which was my biggest problem. My libido went down ten fold after I stopped watching porn.
Yeah, the fact that porn is just so accessible makes it harder to resist.

Interesting stuff, because in traditional Chinese medicine, "stopping of masturbation/sexual activity" is actually one of the treatments for acne - especially that found around the jaw/chin/mouth area (lower part of the face).
Makes you think whenever you see someone with lots of acne there, doesn't it...
Ha, yeah. I wonder if that's what people think when they see me.

I havent also masturbated for 31 days now.The reason why I wanted to stop is that masturbating makes anxiety and fatigue worse.Right now i am little bit more confident and i have more energy to do stuff. My skin has also improved, but i may be because i am living much healthier now(because of quiting PMO

)
Men should try to quit, if they are M-ing too much, there is much more behind masturbating.
First weeks may be hard,i also failed 1st time. But you are getting used it after 2 weeks or so.
Read info from this site, yourbrainonporn.com
if any questions,ask!
Thanks for the link, I'm reading some stuff now.
First quitting is definitely pretty hard, but it does get easier the longer you go without it.

tc this help clear your acne?
i believe there is a connection because i think it messes with your hormone balance obviously..
im also trying this method, ive notice i get more break outs the next day after i bate.. so with that said im on day 5 or 6 i think, i plan on not bating for at least a month i hope this helps with my acne!!
Good, please try to go for a month or longer without masturbating before making a judgement on its relation. The fact that you experience breakouts so soon after masturbating is probably coincidence, as acne doesn't form so fast.
