Just starting accutane(roche) 30 mg a day for the first month.
2 10mg tablets with my first meal, and 1 10mg tablet with dinner.

Background info:

I'm 18 year old asian male, I had moderate acne since I was 13 used various prescribed creams, such as clindoxyl, and stievamycyin.
They worked to an extent but stopped working. I recently took doxycyline 100mg a day for 3 months which cleared my acne
during June 2011. Fast forward to October 2011. I suffered minor breakouts but nothing too intense and decided to go get
a facial extraction done which fkd up my skin. I will try to update daily and add pictures weekly with my progress.

Current acne:

Mostly on my left cheek some on right due to a bad facial extraction experience Posted Image
Some on forehead, and nose

1.5 months after facial extraction still breaking out Nov 28

Current regimen:

Morning & Night: Wash with shiseido men cleansing foam
Apply on witch hazel toner with aloe vera.
Apply on shiseido moisturizing emulsion.

First day:

Took my first 2 pills, skin seemed fine. Took my next pill and washed face skin seems sort of tight, and feels like a pimple is going to erupt under my chin. Posted Image

Your skin right now looks quite red, so try to be gentle as possible. As you know asian skin is quite delicate and really prone to hyperpigmentation.
After finishing Accutane you probably won't need facial extraction treatments, ever. Even blackheads will fall out of the pores.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Accutane with us, appreciate it, will follow it. Good luck block, stay strong. :)

Yep, I agree with this. I'm half Asian, and my skin is definitely prone to hyper pigmentation. So just be careful with yours block! :)

thank you and good luck on your accutane experience.

6th - 8th day

nothing new, some small bumps appeared
but nothing too big to worry about
previous actives seem to be healing up quickly
and my lips are starting to get really dry but nothing a little burts bee doesn't fix.

here are some updated pictures:
closeup of my left cheek
8th day left.png
the red dots/marks are from the previous facial extraction
they weren't as visible in the pictures posted up there

right cheek:

Side effects are good to have imo. Those are indications that the effects of the medicine are starting to kick in.

When's the next derm appointment? Mine is 10th of January.

Very good update btw. Jia you!
