Can hair gel cause acne in the forehead, temple region?

I've recently switched to using aloe vera gel, and my breakouts everywhere have reduced, especially on my forehead and temple area.

I'm going to be extremely angry if this was the cause all along!!

I did just start week 7 of the regimen so maybe it's just a coincidence.

I'm not sure man, I use hair gel at least 5 days a week and my forehead has always remained clear. But I've the habit of like touching my hair and then the odd time touching my face and maybe thats contributing to acne. My friends say they get spots from hair gel on their foreheads but in my case no. I use standard Brylcreem gel if you want to know...
