i brokeout badly last september, my acne is a bit lesser now, i have super red acne marks that i want to fade fast. ive gone through 2 tca peeling, the 1st one is done 2 weeks ago and the other one is done 2 days ago, i am hopeful that tca peel will help a lot for my red marks. I am still breaking out a bit,

my new regimen is:

wash with mild soap, then apply differin and benzac 5%. hope it works. can you guys please encourage me to stick with this regimen since i am very impatient in sticking with a regimen.

Yes it will but I guess it will work more slowly, so you should gradually increase to everynight

I think some of the reason you had problems is because mixing a TCA peel and Differin isn't exactly kind to your skin and I wouldn't recommend it. Retinoids are strong enough to begin with, you should discontinue use at least 2 weeks before a peel and a week after. And yes, the IB SUCKS, but my skin has never looked more amazing than when I've been on Differin. Good luck Posted Image

I think you just need to accept its going to be quite bad before it gets better... Its a really tough process. In fact so many others that review retinoids say "its awful! I broke out the worst of my life... dont try it..." and when you read how long they used it for, its usually 3 weeks, a month that just not long enough! The IB can be horrific, it certainly has been for me... My skin is only just on the road to recovery after 3.5 months. I can now see my scars are fading dramatically and Im breaking out infrequently. I think give me another few months my skin will be pretty clear. But i think this is an option for ppl who stuggle with persistent acne that want a long term solution, not a quick fix :) I hope you stick with it because it will be worth it in the end!

Not sure about that....in fact I'm pretty sure with some peels like glycolic dermatologists quite often recommend using retin-a for a month leading up to the peel? Might be different for TCA.
