I have been using Tazorac after I let my moisturizer set in. But, I have been reading on here that a lot of people use Taz/Retin A first after washing their face & let it soak in & then apply moisturizer 15-20 mins after. So am I doing it wrong?

I cleanse, moisturize, then wait to put on the retinoid. My derm says it reduces irritation.

just got tazorac yesterday. he told me to put on moisturizer after but i did not because the tazorac made my skin so greasy. instead, washed face in morning w/ dead sea salt soap and applied moisturizer after.

I have been putting mine on after moisturizer as well. I feel it puts a little protective barrier between my skin and the Taz. I was also a little confused on whether to do before or after because I saw so many people doing one way or the other.

Hi! I use the Taz 0.05 gel for my deeeep blackheads.. have been using it for 4 weeks now and I'm slowly seeing improvement, but nothing exciting
I have blackheads all over my nose/cheek area. I wash my face with CeraVe's Foaming Cleanser, wait 10 minutes, apply Taz and again wait 10 minutes and apply moisturizer ONLY to the cheeks, forehead and eyes (my undereyes are getting super dry??!), because the Taz has a weird texture so if I apply moisturizer on top it would move all over the face... I tried applying it after the moisturizer but it didn't work as well. My skin is really flaky though, which is really annoying! Good luck
