Well, i've been taking 60mg of zinc daily. (two 30mg pills.) but i recently ran out and bought the 50mg pills instead. Should i just take the 50mg, or should take 100? I saw results on the 60mg, just not as fast as i thought i would, its been a couple months now. I do have a weak stomach and weigh around 115lbs, so i'm not sure if i should take the 100mg. Any thoughts?

Sorry, it doesn't matter if or how much you take of it, it doesn't do anything regarding acne.

I'd look up some studies, if I were you.

@icefairy88: What type of zinc are you using? For best absorption, get Optizinc or zinc picolinate. I'd go for 50 mg, and only up the dose if you don't see results. Make sure to get a copper supplement if you intend to use zinc long-term.

At least stop giving people useless advice, then.

Please don't give people hope into things that will let them down, that's not nice. Posted Image

PS. Zinc is part of a good diet of course, no need to take isolated supplements...

Telling them something doesn't work, while there's plenty of scientific evidence it does, isn't very nice either.

As I wrote, zinc is part of a good diet of course, no need to take isolated supplements... I think nothing remains to be said in this thread.

Oh, you just added this. Agreed, but that's not what OP's question was about. Also, the studies were about zinc supplementation, not about getting it through diet.

If you're getting zinc from zinc picolinate or L-OptiZinc, 50mg is definitely enough. Take it with some source of protein too (meat/fish.)

If you're getting zinc from any other source, take as much as you want because you're probably not absorbing much of it at all.
