Last summer I flared up with blemishes all up and down my back . It slowly started to go away but what really really helps is the panoxyl benzoyl peroxide (10%) body bar. I use it every morning in the shower and I really feel like it helps keep it under control. You can get it at walgreens. Just thought I'd let you know, you should try it out and give it a couple months!

hmm interesting. you only use it once a day and don't apply anything afterwords? lately i've been using dial bar soap twice a day and dan's AHA twice a day. it really works, but it's super expensive. so maybe i'll give this a try.

I loved using Panoxl BP Wash/Bar 10%, it cleared me up nicely, as long as your skin can take it.

It's discontinued where I live sadly.

It won't bleach your towels or clothing as it is not a topical, so make sure to rinse off well in shower.

I've seen it being sold all over the internet; maybe you could try that. You could even buy in bulk! :D haha that's what I always wish I could do with my favorite acne products.

Also, do you think you guys could maybe give me an approximate timeline of results you saw from panoxyl? I've been using it for only 4 days now and my skin does feel a little softer. :) but, I'm impatient- so it would be nice to know how long it took for your skin to clear up all the way; or at least get to a point where breakouts were controlled and there were very few pimples left. I'm really hoping this will work for me, but I would want to know if I'm going to have to stick with it for a long time in order to see results.

Thanks in advance! :)

Sorry for the late reply, busy with work.

However, I had pretty severe acne on my body with pustules. Of course it would take more time for myself than others, but from my experience, it took roughly a month to see pore size decrease, dry, but effective and clear.

It was the only thing that had worked for me, plus I don't have all the time in the world to spend in my bathroom applying Dan's regimen, knowing that I will sweat it off later when skateboarding, it was to my convience.

Good luck, and keep at it!

THANK YOU, OP! You, sir, are a scholar among scholars, and a gentleman of the first water. Panoxyl has been working great for me for the last few weeks. Getting it at drugstore.com for a decent price.

My regimen is simple (and counter to "the regimen", but it works for me):

Zest soap and wash cloth for initial, all over cleaning (not super gentle, or rough, just normal pressure against the skin), followed by Panoxyl and wash cloth for face, neck, back, shoulders, and chest. I try to leave it on a little while (30 seconds, maybe). No fancy, expensive cleansers. Just Zest. Followed by Panox. The Panox is making all the difference, I think.

No new pimples in days -- this hasn't happened in YEARS.

Again, THANK YOU.
