Hello everyone this is my first post
I wrote a huge post before this one and i decided to just write a short and sweet one instead.
I have normal teenage acne. I decided one day to try and get rid of it. I went over board and spent over 500$ in acne products just to find my face 200x worse. Now my face is completely red from acne spots and my self esteem crashed through the ground.
I am now convinced through all the crap i have been through that unless you have SEVERE acne i think you should just let it be and not mess with all the products that are on the commercial market, because half of them are all just BS.

I am going to end my 6 month acne journey right now because i cannot live my life like this any longer. I am tired of constantly looking in the mirror, or staying up late researching acne products instead of being with friends or family. Or not being able to look at people directly in the eyes because of my appearance.
Im tired of breaking out after the weekend because i decided to drink with my friends and i couldnt do my regimen.
All in all i am not going to find the cure for my acne and i think my life is worth much more than that. And i am tired of wasting it away worrying about my appearance.
I am going back to what i did when i didn't have severe acne.. and that is NOTHING.
I will wash face whenever i feel like it in shower and thats it. The only time i had terrible acne and it ruined my life was when i started messing with it.
Here is an experiment to try... Ask all your friends that have normal skin what cleansers, toners, moisturizers or medication they use and i can guarantee 95% of them will say they don't even touch they're face.

Im not saying that this will cure acne. Im just saying that life isnt supposed to be spent worrying over something that will go away eventually. I know i will have a few zits here and there. But it is sooooo much better than it being red and irritated and broken out from all the chemicals that are commercially advertised to get rid of acne.
The human body has the ability to clean and rid itself of toxins. Im sure it doesnt need PEROXIDE to help it.

Dear Jobin,

I am afraid of giving isotretinoin to my son, so I am considering using vitamin A supplementation and simply, well...feeding him carrots. The side-effects of too much vitamin A and isotretinoin are the same, so there is nothing to lose if I don't exaggerate on the vitamin A. We do so much to ourselves that is aggressive and unnatural. Almost everything that we apply to our skin ends up in our bloodstream. People who use ordinary cosmetics are being irresponsible.

@ Chamanit1
I have heard of really bad things from accutane. I wouldnt ever touch it in a million years even if it did get rid of acne. If you were to take something orally for acne something that i use that is mildly helping is a product called herpanicine. I am good friends with lady at my health store and we had this long discussion on this product. It is basically a multi vitamin that supports your skin and immune system. It is used for many skin conditions along with acne, definitely worth a shot over accutane.

Its almost been two months and i havent washed my face. And my acne / redness has cleared up 70% i still get random zits. But it is so much better now that i just leave it alone. i would say give it another two months to fully clear. I can wait that long. Its not like im doing any work ;)
