I have had incurable black heads and white heads, with the occasional cystic acne for years. I am 34 and I haven't had anything work until now. I have even tried retina a and proactive. Neither worked. After reading about glycolic acid I developed this inexpensive skin care routine and am almost completely cured of it. This is what worked for me...get a magnifying mirror and a pimple extractor(drug stores have them in the tweezer section). You will also need St. Ives apricot scrub and Olay daily thermal mini peel. In very bright light, use the pimple extractor and magnifying mirror to purge every pore. This takes a while but it is worth the effort and you only have to do it for the first few days......Next, get in the shower and scrub your face with the apricot scrub . Rinse. Now use the mini peel according to the instructions. Make sure to completely rinse the mini peel until you can't feel the film on your face any more. Repeat this every day, once a day. If your face gets too dry, then use the mini peel every day and only use the apricot scrub every other day. Make sure to wash and condition your hair first when you shower so that the conditioner gets washed off your face. Every once in a while I will moisturise by using the small amount of lotion left on my hands from putting lotion on my body. That's it. I have done this for two weeks and my skin is almost perfect now. I specifically joined this site to share the news with everybody that suffers from this problem. I hope it works for you.

Congrats on your success! I'm intrigued by the mini peel.. Where do you usually purchase it?

It can be found in the skin care section of most drug stores and supermarkets. It is in the Olay Regenerist category. It is marketed as an anti aging product. I think any anti aging product that contains glycolic acid could work as well. I chose the mini peel because anything I have read online about glycolic acid to treat acne has involved a facial peel.

To date, I still have some pores that get clogged. I think this is due to the fact that they are visibly enlarged. I stay on top of them with the extracting tool to prevent them from turning into pimples. This coupled with the mini peel seems to have diminished the size of these pores. No drastic shrinkage, but they are a little smaller
