About 2 months ago, I had a punch excision for a crater scar. The doctor put dissolvable stitches and the result was quite good, but the scar is still really red (and a tiny bit indented). Well, I can't say I didn't expect that, but what bothers me is that I can't cover it.
Here is my problem: If I try to put powder makeup, the redness is still visible. But, if I try to put liquid, common makeup or concealer on it, the redness may be invisible, but it really highlights the scar (the outline, the scar tissue, etc.), even those which say they are matte. I can try combinations of both, but the result isn't that greater, nor am I able to do that all the time, since I'm a male and I only apply makeup topically. A solution I have discovered is putting on a silicon cream my doctor has prescribed me (for the healling process), which seems to fill the pore, but it is very time consuming and looks unnatural too.
So, what I am searching for is a primer, foundation, concealer or whatever, that could help the scar look smoother instead of highlighting it and also cover the redness sufficiently, if possible. Any suggestions? Thank you
Any Advice On What Makeup I Should Choose?

Bare Minerals has an awesome primer called Prime Time, it looks and feels like silk. It also has a bunch of vitamins in it. I love it, but have a hard time affording it. It drastically improved the application of foundation smoothing out everything and I have hideously scarred skin.
