Hi guys

Attached is a photo of my severe forehead scars which are getting me really down. Can anyone give me any advice how to improve these scars; I know fixing them is not realistic, but improvement would be great.

Im looking for advice that HAS and WILL work, not some obscure theory that may. Over the counter suggestions welcome, though ive read they are useless against craters. So im mainly looking for surgical procedures.

Just looking for any help you could give me. Im in a bad place atm.

Regards.

I am exactly where you are. my forehead is similar and it too gets me very down. i've done 3 subcisions and many needlings and it has helped so i will do more. For new treatments, I am looking forward to trying fibroblast-containing cell therapy. my scars are still there but subcision has helped them look better in some lights. harsh light it still looks bad, but i have hope that with using personalized cell therapy in conjunction i can get better results. the only downside in trying is the money, but maybe you can give it a shot

Thanks Nightlilly. Its good to here the treatments help but to what degree? i mean are the holes still noticeable? why go 4 more... do the effects wear off with time?

and how does subcision help with holes exactly i thought that was used for more difficult and extreme scars or ice picks...

thanks!

actually subcision is best for depressed or rolling scars bound down by scar tissue. i don't think itd be appropriate for icepicks. it helped bring better color to the area, and it looks softer/ smoother. they are less deep, but deep enough for me to be unsatisfied. why do more? because it worked the first time so im hoping more will give a little bit more improvement. ill take any improvements i can get. the effects don't wear off. actually its gotten better over the following months, slowly but surely. it'll help break the scar tissue holding the scars down, and initiate a healing response. if you combine it with your own fibroblasts i'm assuming you'd have a better chance of growing more collagen in the area, thus making the skin more level. I'm hoping the stem cells will make the shallow scarring undetectable.

I can completely relate to how you feel buddy as I'm also in the same position. The forehead is the worst place to have acne scars IMO. *sighs*

Anyway my plan is to first self treat with a dermastamp or dermaroller in conjuction with some topicals like terproline/vitamin C/tretinoin as well as LED lights. If things don't improve much after one to two years of time perhaps I'll add in a series of saline injections. Can't start doing anything now though as I'm still on Accutane and will have to wait after my course finishes. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress if you can!

it's the closest thing out there right now to helping your skin heal itself. In theory it sounds great, but I won't judge it until I have gotten it done. If all goes well I'll be back here to let others know the experience.

Doesnt look all that bad to me mate but have you thought of microdermabrasion? NOT the do-it-yourself but a real doctor? Me aunt had some scars from chicken pox an she had this done an they faded quite noticably.
I dont scar , I just still have the active spots which is just as feckin annoying. Good luck.
