I have been reading these boards here for a few weeks. I can see there is great stress caused by acne in just about all areas of the body. But what I do see a lot of here is the mind-set that acne CANNOT be cured. I disagree with this wholeheartedly. I understand that many people think that it is something which cannot ever be eradicated from the body and must simply be 'managed' the fact of the matter however is it can be controlled to such an extent that it becomes a cure into the longer term. After all what is a cure if it does not stop something from returning permanently?
I say this from a position of knowledge having suffered with bacne and facial acne for several years. I was just the same as many people on this forum, simply trying to treat the symptoms and never really addressing the underlying cause. Once you understand that to look deeper into your lifestyle you will actually find the cure and by cure, I mean factors in your life which are causing the acne in the first place. Tackle that and you stop it from coming back for good.
I don't want to rant on too much here but I have charted my experience in this page (*Moderatort edit - URL removed. Read the board rules!*) I would urge anyone to consider what I have said in the article, addressing the root causes worked for me and I am convinced it can work for anyone.
Happy to answer any questions anyone has here. Remember above all, acne can be cured and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise (especially the large conglomerates whom just want to sell you more face washes/creams/lotions!)
