I finally got around to watching these videos and they were very enlightening to say the least. They mesh in pretty well with your recommendations moonbase, yet I noticed the doctor in your video did believe in candida. I thought that was interesting.
Anyway, it gave me a lot of good information about the importance of gut health, how useless the government recommendations are, and how they are based off getting profits for farmers rather than actual science. The principles of healthy eating in traditional diets were also really interesting to learn about. It's amazing that all these diets were so different (indicating that there isn't just one way to heal yourself with diet). Yet there were unifying principles among them.
The effects of eating right, especially early on, were astounding. I always wondered how humanity has survived throughout the ages, because it seems like people were ALWAYS dying off of some disease, or things like tooth decay. I had impacted wisdom teeth, which is apparently common nowadays, and I thought, how could mother nature be so careless as to give us all impacted teeth? How could we ever manage ourselves with that kind of burden as cavemen? That would be so painful. But the people in the video all had straight, white teeth and enough room for them to grow. They all looked so happy. Then they compared it to their modern counterparts, who started eating more "civilized" foods and the differences were unbelievable. They looked so unhealthy, and in so much pain from their suboptimal diet. The American woman from the 1930's looked so healthy, happy, and beautiful...naturally. She looked like a model without using things like makeup or fancy clothes.
Come to think of it, my cousins in Pakistan all exhibit these features too. No orthodontistry, dentistry, the don't shower every single day, yet they have straight, white teeth, great skin, they smelled 'different' but not awful.
I remember learning about how some people in Europe didn't bathe except for one day of the year (in the middle ages!). Everyone used to think that that was so nasty, and they probably smelled so bad, and were so gross looking. How did these people even look at each other? They must have been filthy. Well, even now, I still think a year without a bath is too long, but maybe they were kept cleaner than we thought thanks to their diet. Maybe in today's society if someone didn't take a shower for a year, they would be in terrible condition.
But I digress. With the right diet, it seems things like orthodontists, optometrists, and doctors are not nearly as necessary as they are today. Which scares me a little, considering that's the career path I'm on right now...
It seems that a vast majority of our issues can be healed with good gut health. Since switching my diet, when I got 'sick' like usual when the weather starts to change, I didn't get a fever and it was extremely mild. The resulting runny nose which usually lasts for 4-5 days afterward is starting to disappear in 2 days.
So much interesting information, now that I'm on break I have more time to research and finally have time to really make significant dietary changes on top of the ones i've already made!
