Day 15: Still can't believe I'm on accutane:) So I haven't had any nose bleeds. My only side effects right now are really dry lips and skin. My eyes are really dry whenever I wake up. My lower back is fine but whenever I do heavy squats or deadlifts, I get tons of lower back pain so I guess that means no leg training until the end of my course. My face is still far from perfect. It was getting better, but this week I broke out. It was my fault really. Forgetting to apply moisturizer, sleeping without washing my face some nights because I was so tired, picking at my skin, eating tons of sour patch kids and other junk daily, getting 2-3 hours of sleep a night, stressing out over all the tests, not running at all etc all culminated in a nice big breakout. No big deal though, it'll be gone eventually. I've got my thanksgiving break ahead of me, so I've got a while to rest up and relax. I usually stay up all night with my friends on Black Friday hanging out at different stores so that probably won't help my skin. I've been very vigilant about putting moisturizer in my nose twice daily....never want to experience a nosebleed that bad again. I've also started experiencing dandruff which is completely new to me. At least I think it's dandruff. Whenever I rub my hair, tons of little flakes fall out.
As for what I've been using, in the morning, I wash my face with the CVS knockoff of the Purpose Gentle Cleanser. I mix half a pump of the Neutrogena SPF15 with half a pump of the CVS cetaphil moisturizer knockoff (yeah I'm cheap) for my moisturizer, that way I get good hydration and sun protection. I use carmex lip balm whenever my lips are feeling a little dry. It's crazy how quickly they get dry now. At night, I use the cetaphil moisturizing lotion with added jojoba oil. Sometimes, I put an icepack on my face to reduce the inflammation and swelling.

I think you might just be a little bit psycho making yourself purposely breakout to get a risky treatment you probably didn't even need.
I haven't read all the post of this blog so maybe this issue was already addressed. Hopefully the pyscho comment was made in jest. Everyone makes their own decisions and it seems wshewfelt made an educated decision after considering the risk and rewards. Life is full of actions that have much higher rates of risk with less rewards than accutane offers.
I definitely made what I feel was the best decision considering the circumstances after much thought and consideration. No offense was taken to his comment! But thanks:)
