Hi i want to get my eyebrows shaped, I know waxing is a no-no, but can I get the plucked/threaded? Is it safe? Which is better? Thanks!

Hi there, I started getting my brows threaded while on Accutane...and I have never gone back to the ways of waxing. It is far more accurate, and they are able to get many more hairs that waxing would most likely not take care of. GO FOR IT!

I can promise you, you won't ever go back. I do pluck to maintain at home...but I like to get them threaded every 6 weeks or so...usually whenever I get my haircut, I go and get a shaping too. It feels funny, but definitely doesn't hurt!
I like that they are able to thread above the brow.. I know that some waxing places probably do that too, but when I was in beauty school we were taught not to wax above the brow, so it was a nice change.

My friend waxes my eyebrows and I was sad that I can't get them done for a while. lol I hope she can thread - and if not, I'm going to find someone who does! I hate furry brows! hehe

I started getting mine threaded before Accutane and loved it. Waxing doesn't compare. When I was on my first course of Accutane (this is my second) I experienced some irritation after threading but nothing too bad. I say go for it.

Hey,
I was wondering about threading.
I usually wax and obviously can't now, but the two times I tried threading I got pimples all over the threaded area.
For some reason that does not happen with waxing or tweezing.
Any ideas as to why that would happen?

Hi
I usually get my brows threaded but I find it much more painful than waxing. I did have my eyebrows plucked & shaped during my 3rd week on accutane....such a mistake...the skin around my eyebrows was so sore & I had tiny little scabs. It was not my best look!! Looks like I'm back to threading!!!
