Hi everyone, I think I may have done something ridiculously stupid last night. Now for the last ten months or so, I have been using topical tretoin (Generic form of Retin A) to treat my acne, and that's been going just fine, my acne is clearing up just fine, I love it.

However, last night, I was horribly tired, and when I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, I fear I may have done something really dumb. I think I may have accidentally used tretinoin on my toothbrush instead of my toothpaste. This would be extremely comical if it didn't actually happen. I may not have actually used it, but my memory of last night is hazy, and I'm worried about what I may have done.

So, can anyone tell me what the side effects of orally ingesting a small amount of tretinoin would be? The manual said it would be similar to ingesting too much vitamin A, which wouldn't be too bad, but I just want to check here and see if any experts on retinoids would know exactly what would happen.

It's the morning after and I feel fine, no nausea or anything that I've noticed, I'm just worried about what I may have done that I haven't observed.

I'm 16 by the way, if that changes anything.
