Skkaii's Diet Log

Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster.

Going to jump right into it.

I have mild-moderate jawline/chin acne that although isn't particularly intense, it is incredibly stubborn.
After trying almost every product around, I decided that the diet method would be a really cool thing to test out,
as my diet (a uni student diet which involves a reasonable amount of sodas and chocolate) is really sub-par.

Additional information:
Acne - mild to moderate, chin, inflammatory, cyst-like, usually no head, below skin and mostly painful. Not always localised, if a pimple wants to come up, it will, even if I slam one area with BP, one will sprout in another area of my face.
Issues - I have Gilbert's Syndrome; it means I have a higher level of bile in my blood than most people, especially when I get sick (I think that's right, it's something like that). I also have a weak liver, always have, and usually after a night of drinking or whatever I will be slightly jaundice. For a long time I have woken up tired and been lethargic throughout the day.

I am somewhat skeptical about Moonbase's all fruit diet, but I figure alot of the stuff he posted does sort of make sense, especially in the context of the specific issues I am having. Hopefully, this will help *cross fingers*.

Pretense: I want to detox my gut and liver. I will be eating only fruit throughout the day, and vegetables and lean meat at night. I will be drinking only water. The only supplements I will be taking are 2 probiotic drinks daily (to assist in the detoxification) and 3 Milk Thistle tablets daily. If Moonbase of anyone else with experience in this tell me if i'll need to take any further supplements i.e. Zinc because a fruit-based diet won't the daily intake, thankyou. My cleaning routine will be extremely basic: just a water wash in the morning and night, followed by Witch Hazel as toner and the Exposed Acne Kit moisturiser (with pumpkin seed, green tea extract and caffeine). Day 1
7:00-8:00am - 2 x glasses of water, 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink, 1 x Milk Thistle 7000mg tablet
8:00am - 1/4 of a large rockmelon (cantaloupe in America, is that right? o.O)
9:00-10:00am - 2 x glass of water, face washing routine
12:30pm - 2 x medium carrots, 1x red apple
2:00pm - 1 x glass of coconut water, 3 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets
4:00pm - 1 x medium carrot, 1 x red apple
5:00pm - 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink, 3 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets
7:00pm - Beef Casserole and mashed potato, non-dairy mango smoothie (Had to for friends, didn't want to break diet -_-)
10:00pm - 2 x medium carrots

Notes: It was an interesting day, my diet prior to this experiment included nothing cl,ose to this much fruit and raw vegetable intake. I was hungry as hell at dinner time, but no real cravings for junk food, just for big carb-filled food.

Day 2
9:00am - 2 x glasses of water, 1 x Milk Thistle 7000mg tablet, 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink, 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets
10:00am - 1/4 of a large rockmelon
12:30pm - 2 x kiwifruit
2:00pm - High protein low carb bar
3:00-4:00pm - Gym, 1 x Powerade
5:00pm - Juice (cucumber, carrot, apple), 1 x Milk Thistle 7000mg tablet
8:00pm - Beef, rice & bean burrito
10:00pm - 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets

Notes: More of the same, tried to get plenty of fruit in. I had to have a high protein bar or I would have suffered immensely at gym, the dinner craving was ridiculous.

Day 3
11:00am - 1 x glass of water, 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink, 1/4 of a large rockmelon, 1 x medium carrot, 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets
2:00pm - Ham and cheese sandwiches, various fruit
7:00pm - Butter chicken with vegetables and wholegrain rice
9:00pm - 1 x glass of coconut water

Notes: Not quite accurate I don't think, but I didn't have time to update through the day. I feel like I slipped a bit today with my intake, mostly due to my girlfriend living with me and she isn't following the same diet. That said, I haven't touched chocolate, soda, chips or fast food in 3 days, so i'm quite happy with my progress.

Day 4
6:30am - 1 x glass of water, 1/8 of a rockmelon, 1/2 of a kiwifruit, 1 x cup of green tea, 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets, 1 x Milk Thistle 7000mg tablet
8:00am - 1/2 a glass of coconut water, 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink
12:00pm - 1/2 a cucumber, a small serve of Butter chicken with vegetables and wholegrain rice, 1 x Milk Thistle 7000mg tablet
2:00pm - 1 x glass of water with ACV, a handful of goji berries
5:00pm - Small serving of pasta, up'n'go + protein
6:00pm - gym, 1 x powerade, 1 x protein bar
7:30pm - Alfredo chicken balls with rice and steamed vegetables
9:00pm - 1 x cup of green tea, 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets, 1 x Milk Thistle 7000mg tablet

Notes: I'm trying to add more cardio and early rising to my regime, as I feel it is fairly concurrent with the whole body and mind feel of this purifying experience. I feel so good. It seems like a fairly odd statement to throw out there, but pumping large amounts of water and raw fruits and vegetables in, along with probiotics and even the Spirulina has made me feel just amazing. Already, i'm losing that sluggish morning feel and staying energised throughout the day for the most part. In terms of skin, I don't think i've seen a MAJOR difference (day 4, duhhh). In saying that, i'm still getting some whiteheads, but there is noticeably less inflammation, and the pain is mostly gone from my cysts. Actually, i'm pretty damn happy with all of that Posted Image As an update to what I initially said about my skincare routine, I have kept up the 5% BP face wash just for now because I feel that the inflammation and infection warrants it, but within a week i'm hoping to cut it out and just use a gentle cleanser and Witch Hazel toner Posted Image

Day 5
11:00am - 2 x glass of water
12:00pm - 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink, 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets
1:00pm - 1/4 of a large rockmelon
2:00pm-7:00pm - Various snacks including Goji berries and some carrots
7:00pm - Steak sandwich (lean meat, rocket, spinach, kale, cheese)
9:00pm - 1 x Whole drinking coconut, 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink, 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets

Notes: As per yesterday, i'm feeling a MILE better physically; I have energy throughout the day and just love the effects of this diet. In terms of my skin, it has continued to improve. Since starting my diet, I have only gotten a couple new whiteheads, none of which were close to the cysts that I was previously getting, and now at Day 5 I would take a guess and say that all of my acne is only semi active... you know that stage where they aren't hurting or growing, but maybe if you push or squeeze them it would hurt.. haha. Anyways, my skin is glowing from all the fresh fruit and increased water intake (I presume), the inflammation is WAY down from before I started and about 30% of it has cleared completely.

Day 6
6:30am - 1 x glass of water, 1 x Yakult 55mL Probiotic drink
7:00am - 1 x cup of green tea, 1/8 of a large rockmelon, 1 x kiwifruit
8:00am - 5 x Spirulina 1000mg tablets, 1 x Milk Thistle 7000mg tablet
9:30am - 1 x red apple, 1 x pear
10:30am - 1/2 a madium carrot, 1 x bottle of water with half a lemon squeezed in, a handful of goji berries
