Since the bacteria can come back after you finish taking antibiotics, and you can't take them forever, are antibiotics only a temporary solution? Is there any long term benefit from taking them? Is your acne likely to be worse than before after you stop?

Also, what is the change of something serious happening from developing antibiotic resistance, or loosing good bacteria? A doctor once told me you can't really loose your good bacteria for some reason, I can't remember the explanation. Does that sound right?
Does eating yoghurt help at all? Is there anything else you can do?

Sorry for asking so many questions, I checked the faq but I couldn't really see any answers there.

Yes antibiotics are only a temporary solution, and from what I and many others like RCRanger experienced, your acne comes back much worst. If you're looking only to clear your acne then stop, then it shouldn't be that bad.
