Hi everyone!

I'm a guy, so it feels a little awkward to post here :P The thing is, I'm going to some sort of Halloween party this weekend... the f*ck with acne, it's hold be back for a while, and I'm not going to stay at home missing the fun because of a few pimples and marks.

I'm going to do something similar to a zombie (look at my avatar), with my face white and some eyeliner (I'm getting help from a friend for that because I have no idea how to do that :P). I don't know what I can use to make my face look white that doesn't cause more acne, though. The makeup she showed me is way too greasy and I'm definitely NOT wearing that.

Right now I'm in the middle of some sort of breakout thanks to Accutane (4th month though, I don't know what's up with that), 1 pimple on my forehead, 2 on the right cheek, and 1 on the left one. The rest is just marks.

What can you girls recommend? Should I buy non-comedogenic makeup or what? This is the only time I'm going to use this, btw. Thanks!

I have no idea how old you are or if you remember Zinka. This was it back in the day! I had every color! Never broke me out+++the added bonus of Zinc it could actually help. http://zinka.com/Col...-Nosecoat/White
You could also try to find the lightest/fairest/ makeup shade in a mineral foundation powder.

Hey, notanoutsider! I was actually just looking into white, natural, non-comedogenic Halloween makeup. What I found actually ties to Chinese tradition, where they apply white rice paste evenly on their face. The ingredients are simple and effective:
  • 4 tbsp. white rice powder
  • 2 tbsp. milk (or water)
Cream together until paste forms, apply to face.

You can probably buy this white rice powder at your local grocery store, and most definitely at your local natural foods store. Here is an example of the powder: http://www.amazon.co...t/dp/B001ADUC1I or, it can look like this: http://www.walgreens..._Google_Grocery

The terms powder/flour are used interchangeably, and both work just as well.

Just because you're a guy doesn't mean you can't wear makeup. Makeup isn't exclusive to females. It doesn't emasculate you, so don't feel awkward...

I don't know what I would do without coverup. I guess I would just hide inside all day O.o.

Thanks, everyone! But, unfortunately, I've decided to pass and not attend the event I was planning to (even though I hate to let one of my dearest friends down). I've just been feeling so down because my acne has came back (in some sort of a mild way) this week. I haven't really gotten any pimples for months. Heck, I didn't even get Accutane's well known IB!

I just want to rest a little bit (I'm extremely tired after a week full with exams and stress) at home, and get some sleep. That might be a reason why my face has gotten worse.

Sometimes you just can't fight against your own body...

And, InAStateOfDispair, I'm 16. Wearing makeup would be extremely uncomfortable to me. You know, we men may have a beard to cover things up (I'm somehow begging to grow mine, lol), but you ladies have makeup on your side (I mean, you can wear it without feeling embarrassed). I'm probably going to sound like some sort of feminist now, but it actually seems worse for a woman than for a man to have acne. Woman are expected and supposed (stupidly, by society) to have the perfect skin, while guys can be a little lazy about the same topic. It seems unfair.

I'm not a lady. I'm a guy and the same age as you. I wear makeup and I would prefer to coverup my face than go out in the world bareface. I can actually look into the mirror without being horrified. I can go places without feeling too horrified.

I know a lot of guys that wear makeup.
