Hi there guys,
To introduce myself, I'm 15 and have had acne for 3-4 years now on my back, chest and face.
Over those 3-4 years, I went to the doctors several times and was merely told to wash my back with natural soap and a brush etc etc but none of it worked. So this July, I was referred to a consultant privately and she prescribed me Doxycycline capsules and differin cream. It did get worse before it got better, and now, after 3 months, I'm finally starting to see a difference on my face - less breakouts!
However ... I've read in many a place that it's ineffective and it wears off after a while. I'm nervous about this since acne really gets me down, as it does with many people - I don't wish to be on an antibiotic that will only cause me to break out again in a few months!
Anyone else who has been on Doxy and differin - any advice? Is it ineffective or will it work?
Also, any tips for dark scars? They're all over my back and are disgusting - but I'm too scared to use stuff like Bio Oil since obviously, it's oil.
