Hi everyone. I have been reading around on these boards for a little while and decided to see if any of you experienced folks could help me out. I have had acne and seb derm issues for a long time. I'm 30 now, so we're talking, oh, at least 15 years. Recently there was only one thing that cleared my face of acne, redness, and flaking, and that was a shea butter cream from a company that no longer exists (Reforma). That stuff was worth its weight in platinum but I cannot get it anymore. I have tried to find a comparable product but have been unsuccessful. After some searching on the internet, I found out about a product called Kpangnan butter. It's from Africa and is like shea butter but is from a completely different plant. It is supposed to be great for skin. I am now stuck with a big tub of it because it hasn't done anything to take away the redness or acne. It makes my skin look oily (a problem I have anyway). I am out of ideas. I use Head and Shoulders to wash my face every day. I was using Nizoral but switched to H&S quite some time ago. I want to go back on the Nizoral but it is unavailable everywhere here. I heard the company moved its production facility but it was supposed to be back in stores over the summer. Aside from that, I don't know what to do anymore. I HATE the way I look. My chin/mouth area is always so red. My skin is also extremely oily. If I press on it, it's like there's liquid coming out. That's how oily it gets. The red areas also get flaky. I have cystic acne as well, but it is not severe. I've tried all the usual acne treatments and nothing is making it go away. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't even wear makeup because it doesn't cover it and can sometimes make me look worse. My skin is also very sensitive. I made the mistake of using a ultra deep cleansing biore strip and it took weeks before my chin was healed. I just want to have normal skin and feel confident about my appearance. Have any of you found an unusual or unexpected way to deal with this? I want to look like an adult, not a breaking out, red-faced teenager. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Attached is a photo of my chin. It is actually a lot redder than it looks in the photo.

I've the exact problem, pinned it down as contact dermatitis or Seborrheic dermatitis, using google images. I get it above my top lip and either side of my chin, no idea why or how. I'll have normal, clear skin for a while then all of a sudden a burning sensation, then the redness, progressing to sores, then in a few days flaky skin. It's occuring right now and I'm resisting touching my face to scratch. Luckily for me though I'm able to grow a beard to mask the worst of it. I've also used Nizoral, and H&S, apparently it's the zinc that helps but I expect you know this.

Not sure if this video will help, I gave it a go, skin does improve, washing with oatmeal:
