I was prescribed trimethorprim by my derm for four months and although my acne has improved I would say I'm only about 40-50% clear. I've been reading online and it says that with antibiotics a significant improvement should be seen by 6 weeks! I certainly wouldn't class the improvement as 'significant'. Does this mean it's not working? I was really hoping this would work out :(

You lost half of your acne in 9 weeks and you don't think that's significant? Are you serious? It can take like 6 months until you're clear.

There is no instant cure. You'll just have to stay on the medication or change to Accutane.
